A major 556-acre industrial and logistics park is planned for south Fort Worth
Carter Park East, a major industrial park in South Fort Worth, is scheduled to be developed for bulk e-commerce, food, manufacturing, and distribution-type companies.
Clarion Partners and Crow Holdings Capital (CHC), in partnership with Rob Riner Companies, announced in a news release that they successfully acquired the 556 acres needed for this state-of-the-art business park.
The industrial park will be located off Interstate 35 West, south of Interstate 20.
Carter Park East is going to be on approximately seven million square feet of state-of-the-art industrial and logistics park. It calls for plans to be built in multiple phases with site work already starting this month. Then by next summer, large portions of the development will be ready for built-to-suit tenants.
The project is also expected to further develop and improve critical road infrastructure around that area. For example, Oak Grove Road will experience significant improvements by next summer, the companies announced.
“For such a big site, it is very infill,” said Andy Lowe, managing director at Clarion Partners, in the news release. “Carter Park East’s location will provide tenants the access, labor, amenities, and functional modern distribution product that has, historically, not been available in South Fort Worth.”
Rob Riner of Rob Riner Companies said in the news release that this development has been in the works for several years now. He said that the vision for Carter Park East had been developed as early as 2006.
Three senior officials with Stream Realty Partners will be leading the charge for the project’s leasing operations.
“We are thrilled to be part of Carter Park East. It will serve as a true destination hub for tenants and provide something a bit different from other projects found in the marketplace by way of amenities and other offerings,” Seth Koschak, managing director and partner of Stream’s Fort Worth office, said in a news release. ‘“We have a blank canvas, so if tenants need something unique or specific that is not typically found in speculative design, we have the ability to accommodate them and move swiftly.”
