Amazon will open a new distribution center at the DFW Airport

Amazon is opening a new distribution center in the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

According to a news release, the company will lease 1 million square-feet of warehouse space in the south end of the airport. It will be located at 2601 S. Airfield Drive.

This will bring about 1,000 jobs.

Amazon has been growing rapidly in the DFW area in the past few years. There are currently 10 fulfillment centers in North Texas in addition to the regional air hub at Alliance Airport that opened in October.
