A popular North Texas wedding venue just closed all of its locations without warning
Noah’s Event Venue abruptly closed all of its locations, including one in Fort Worth, after a Utah bankruptcy judge ordered the company to cease operations.
People hosting events at Noah’s locations received emails Monday notifying them that 30 locations nationwide would be closing, including the three in North Texas: Fort Worth, Las Colinas and Fairview.
A statement on the company’s website said Noah’s Event Venue is still willing to help customers find alternate venues.
Martin Jones found out about the closing Monday when he and his fiancee, Ciara Cannon, received an email from Noah’s. They were planning on having their wedding in June at the Fairview location.
Jones said his first reaction was shock.
He had to reread the email several times to understand what was going on. But what was worse, he and his fiancee did everything they could to ensure that this wouldn’t happen.
Jones and Cannon had originally booked the Noah’s location in Frisco, but four months ago the managers of that venue said that location was closing and suggested the Fairview location instead. Before committing to this, Jones and Cannon wanted a reassurance that the Fairview location would remain open for their wedding. The venue managers guaranteed they would be open.
“They signed a contract; they assured us everything would be fine,” Jones said. “Then we found out yesterday by email that they were closing.”
The email said the current operator would not be able to host the event, but Jones would be able to file an administrative claim. Additionally, building owners where Noah’s Event Venues were located would be willing to host the events.
But at this point, Jones said, he’s not willing to trust Noah’s. He and Cannon aren’t in as much of a bind since their wedding is in June — but it still puts pressure on the couple to find a new venue.
“We’ve already started looking elsewhere,” Jones said. “We don’t want to wait on them. I just want my money back.”
