Snap Kitchen to hire 200 workers for new Fort Worth facility
Snap Kitchen plans to hire as many as 200 workers as the prepared food chain opens a new southwest cooking facility in Fort Worth.
“The southwest kitchen allows Snap Kitchen to cook more meals to meet customer demand, while still using the highest quality ingredients, cooking from scratch daily in small batches and delivering top notch food safety standards,” the company said in a statement.
The Fort Worth kitchen will be 30,000 square feet and located south of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport at 15600 Trinity Blvd. The Austin-based company expects the kitchen to open later this year and employ up to 200 people.
Austin-based Snap Kitchen has 16 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth including one in Southlake and one on West 7th Street. Customers can purchase a variety of ready-made meals that can be reheated at home.
The company announced earlier this week that it will be laying off 166 employees at kitchens in Houston and Austin as part of a “corporate reorganization.” Those kitchens will be transitioned to focus on menu innovation and fresh baked gluten-free goods.
