AT&T says it is hiring for 500 jobs in Metroplex
Dallas-based AT&T said Tuesday that it plans to hire more than 500 employees in the Metroplex.
The jobs are for retail sales, network technician and call center positions, and they are part of what AT&T is calling Project Velocity IP, a multibillion-dollar investment to expand and enhance the company’s wireless and wired networks.
“AT&T continues to expand its customer base in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area and invest in our network to ensure we are providing the high level of service customers have come to expect,” Hardmon Williams, vice president and general manager of AT&T North Texas, said in a statement.
“These jobs are part of our commitment to this level of customer service and to support our growth in Dallas and its neighboring communities,” he said.
The jobs are in Allen, Arlington, Burleson, Carrollton, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Fort Worth, Frisco, Garland, Granbury, Grand Prairie, Hurst, Irving, Lancaster, McKinney, Richardson, Rockwall and Sherman.

The jobs are full- and part-time and include benefits, the company said.
