Southlake police seek man who 'keyed' Hummer
SOUTHLAKE -- Police asked for help Tuesday to identify a man captured on a motion-activated video surveillance camera who is accused of keying a 2008 Hummer in the parking lot of Carroll Senior High School.
The unknown man caused $2,220 damage to the vehicle which was owned by a student, police said.
The incident happened about 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 5 in the school parking lot, 1501 West Southlake Boulevard.
Police got a video of the incident from a surveillance camera mounted on the Hummer.
The video showed the man carving an “X” on the driver’s and passenger-side doors.
The vandal is described as a white man about 50 to 60 years-old with short, white hair, wearing dark sunglasses, a dark-colored shirt with horizontal stripes, tan shorts and sandals.
Police believe the man left in a light brown or gold Honda or BMW.
Anyone with information should call the Southlake Department of Public Safety at 817-748-8128.
