Trinity Metro offers bus service to Fort Worth Zoo during spring break
If you’re looking for an easy way to get your kids to the Fort Worth Zoo over spring break, Trinity Metro has a ride.
The Safari Xpress will circulate from Fort Worth Central Station, 1001 Jones St., to the bus stop on Colonial Parkway, a short walk from zoo’s main entrance. The bus will pick up from Bay A at Central Station every 30 minutes between 9:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. March 7-15.
Fares are $2.50 one way or $5 for day pass for adults. Youth ages 5-19 and those 65 and older ride for $1.25 one way. Children younger than 5 ride for free.
Those who come into downtown Fort Worth via the TEXRail or TRE commuter trains can use their ticket to board the bus.
Admission to the Fort Worth Zoo is $16 for adults, $12 for seniors and children age 3 to 12. Toddlers 2 and younger are free. Admission is half-price every Wednesday. The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekend.
Trinity Metro’s The Dash also carries passengers from downtown, through the West 7th entertainment district and the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Stops also include the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth and along West Seventh Street. The red electric buses run from 9:22 a.m. to 10:44 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 12:44 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
