Patricia Rae Lorimer of Fort Worth and Richard Cade Corley of Abilene were united in marriage on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 7 p.m. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Lance Marshall of First United Methodist Church. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at The National Cowgirl Hall of Fame on Friday evening June 1, 2018. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Douglas David Lorimer Sr. of Fort Worth. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Wishard Speer Lorimer Jr. and the late Dr. and Mrs. William Burford Rose. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emory Corley of Abilene, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. Durwood Emory Corley and his late wife Mrs. Roddye Sue Corley of Abilene and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henry Beaty, also of Abilene. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed by Anne Barge from Stanley Korshak. A reception followed at River Crest Country Club. Music was provided by InTENcity from Dallas. The Enchanted Florist created a festive and fun outdoor setting with romantic leaves flooding the walls. Magnolia leaves dominated the room as well as brightly colored centerpieces with navy and white striped tables. The brides’ cake reflected the décor. The grooms’ cake was a heavy-duty truck and represented the Corley family business with a photograph of three generations of the family alongside the original truck. The couple departed in a large white Freightliner Truck complete with “Just Married” flaps. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Janann Lorimer Cowden of Fort Worth. The best man was the groom’s brother, Clay Emory Corley of Waco. The flower girls were nieces of the bride, Lola, Rae, and Sale Cowden of Fort Worth. They carried bird’s nests and scattered various bird feathers. The ring bearers, Cason Corley of Waco and Douglas Lorimer III of Chicago, wore TCU baseball caps with the rings tied inside. Neilly Lorimer of Chicago, niece of the bride, gave a reading during the ceremony. The bride graduated from TCU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications. She was president of Chi Omega sorority and an Assembly debutante. She works for Luther King Capital Management. The groom graduated from TCU with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He is a member of the SAE fraternity and employed with Lonestar Truck Group/TAG. Following a honeymoon in Maui, the couple will reside in Fort Worth and Abilene. Photo by Arden Prucha.
