Here’s how to score a Perry’s Steakhouse pork-chop lunch for 79 cents

Perry’s Steakhouse, a Texas tradition since 1979, will celebrate May 2 by serving its thick-cut pork chop lunch platter for 79 cents to the first 100 customers..

It’s a “Flashback Friday” special at Houston-based Perry’s, including the location at 2400 Texas 114 West, Grapevine.

The restrictions:

The steakhouse opens at 10:30 a.m.

The first 100 patrons lined up get the special price.

No reservations.

No to-go orders.

Adults age 21 and up only.

The lunch platter includes whipped potatoes and applesauce.

After the first 100 diners, the pork chop is regular price, $19.

Perry’s 10,000-square-foot Grapevine location opened in 2018. It serves dinner and Friday lunch. It also opens all day on holidays, serving an extensive menu including such dishes as a Mother’s Day filet stuffed with spinach, mushrooms and garlic.

In Grapevine, the steakhouse competes against Irving-based Bob’s Steak & Chop House, Florida-based Capital Grille, locally owned Dino’s Steak & Claw House, Dallas-based Kirby’s Steakhouse, Chicago-based Rosebud Steakhouse and Houston-based Truluck’s.
