Four Fort Worth restaurants closed within days. One was a 13-year-old home-cooking cafe
Funky Picnic, Stevie’s, Patissery, Toque closed
Hey, Bud! WTH is going on [with restaurant closings]? ... Fort Worth is not a foodie town.

The list of local closings in recent weeks includes Funky Picnic Brewery & Cafe, Stevie’s Diner, 3rd St. Patissery and Toque Mexicano, all for different reasons.
First, beer-drinking is way down as patrons want craft cocktails. Beer sales are the worst in 25 years. Breweries are in freefall.
Stevie’s, open 13 years on North Tarrant Parkway, faced corporate chain competition. Both the Patissery and Toque Mexicano excelled but suffered in their locations. The Patissery continues sales and catering.
Tastebuds Eatery also will continue catering when the restaurant closes at the end of May.
Fort Worth is very much a foodie town. We have unique restaurants known statewide like Don Artemio and Le Margot. But not everybody can pay rising rents and labor costs.
Pulido’s returning in Fort Worth, Hurst
Hey, Bud! Which Pulido’s are reopening? I don’t think the one in Cleburne is coming back.
—Donna, Cleburne
Pulido’s Kitchen & Cantina, a 58-year-old legacy Tex-Mex fajitas and margaritas hangout, is expected to reopen by the end of May at 2900 Pulido St. near Montgomery Street.
Pulido’s in Hurst and Eastland will reopen next. The company plans other locations when it returns to Arlington, Cleburne and Stephenville.
