B&B Butchers, 5212 Marathon Ave. in the Shops at Clearfork, will have its annual Mardi Gras brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3, featuring New Orleans music and menu specials. The actual Mardi Gras is Feb. 13.

The Post at River East closes Feb. 29

Hey, Bud! Why is the Post at River East closing?

The Post’s music concerts will move to other locations Feb. 29, but the little-known restaurant is closing Feb. 5. The owners decided not to stay at 2925 Race St., a former post office converted to a patio cafe.

Closing March 31, according to a press release. The building at 14655 Dallas Parkway was sold.
