We’re all waiting on Terra Grill’s return to Fort Worth. Now there’s an update

Terra is reopening in Fort Worth. But when?

Hey, Bud! When is Terra Mediterranean Grill reopening? Sure have missed it.

—Somebody almost every week

Work has begun on the new Terra at 2932 Crockett St., with completion scheduled for midwinter. So, depending on how long hiring and training takes, it might open in time for the rodeo.

Terra is reopening across Crockett from the former location, in a space that has been an Italian restaurant, a Brazilian churrascaria and a sushi bar.

‘Ant eggs’ at a south Fort Worth taqueria

Hey, Bud! A buddy of mine who’s from Mexico used to eat and love escamoles — “Mexican caviar,” he says. Any ideas where to find it?

—Brian, Fort Worth

I found escamoles — “ant eggs” — listed on the menu at a taqueria on East Seminary Drive and also at another in East Dallas. I haven’t tried either, so I sent both names by email. Will await your buddy’s report.

Starbucks to open in east Fort Worth

Hey, Bud! What’s going on Eastchase and Anderson Boulevard where the Jack in the Box used to be? Saw a bunch of storage containers and trucks..

A Starbucks Coffee. (Apparently because the nearest location is an arduous half-mile away, and that’s inside a Target where it lacks the customary Starbucks atmosphere and accouterments.)
