The first Pulido’s, open 57 years at 2900 Pulido St. off Interstate 30 near Montgomery Street, is a 1966 throwback with a pay phone, old-timey booths and vintage Tex-Mex. The mole enchiladas, “old fashioned” enchiladas and Texas chili remain some of the city’s best, and at low prices.
The original Pulido’s near Montgomery Street still looks like in the 1970s. Bud Kennedy bud@star-telegram,com

Still nothing. It’s still expected to move away from where it lost its lease at 4713 Camp Bowie Blvd. June 30 and combine into the newer location at 1400 N. Main St.

Hey, Bud! Do you know what happened to Woody’s BBQ over by the Fiesta on Camp Bowie?
—Hector, Fort Worth
Woody Creek BBQ is still running full blast at 1776 Mall Circle on Texas 183 near Ridgmar. If you meant Billy’s Oak Acres, Billy Woodrich took his barbecue and chicken-fried steaks about 90 minutes west to Billy’s Restaurant, 1002 Conrad Hilton Blvd., Cisco.
