Here’s a good brunch deal with wine Sunday at the Stock Show in Fort Worth

‘Bubbles & Bites’ Sunday brunch at Stock Show

Hey, Bud! Is there some sort of brunch event at the Stock Show? I saw it on Facebook.

For $65, the Bubbles & Bites brunch with wines at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Stagecoach Room of the Round-Up Inn, 3400 Burnett Tandy Drive, is one of the best nosh-arounds of the year.

It’s a 2-hour feast featuring nopalitos tacos from Don Artemio; brisket on poblano biscuits from the Paris Coffee Shop and Roy Pope Grocery; rabbit gnocchi from Magdalena’s; BLTs and turkey wraps from the Meat Board; smoked-chicken salad from Lettuce Cook; matzoh-ball soup from Carshon’s, and more dishes from local restaurants.

Tickets include grounds admission; buy on eventbrite.com.

Igloo-shaped ice cream shop? Mmmkay

Hey, Bud! There was an igloo-shaped ice cream shop on West Seminary Drive. I was thinking maybe you could come up with the name?

—Reader ”Winky” at instagram.com/budkennedy

Not remembering that, and I don’t see one on the photos at historicaerials.com. But I do recall the classic Sandy’s Drive-In, later a Hardee’s, at 1300 W. Seminary Drive. It’s now a laundromat.
