This downtown Fort Worth restaurant already had a great view. It’s adding a bar, too
Branch & Bird, a 12th-floor office-tower restaurant with a scenic view of downtown Fort Worth, is remodeling into a dinner restaurant and bar.
The restaurant in a bank tower, 640 Taylor St., is adding dining-room tables and booths to make indoor dining as pleasant as the outdoor patio, general manager Raymond De Armas said.
Branch & Bird opened in 2017 with a beautiful view and a busy wine happy hour, but the dining room felt cold and institutional.
“The renovations will definitely change that,” De Armas wrote in a message.
Booths will give guests more privacy, he wrote. The restaurant will be separated from the elevator and “sky lobby.”
The remodeling also adds a bar and cocktail area.
Branch & Bird’s menu will be expanded, De Armas wrote.
The restaurant currently serves a $13 lunch special daily with choices such as a carnitas burrito bowl, lasagna or pasta arrabbiata.
Branch & Bird serves coffee and pastries weekday mornings from 8 a.m., followed by lunch weekdays and dinner Tuesday through Saturday nights. (Take the elevators up from the bank lobby.)
