The Tavern, Towne Grill for banana cream pie

Hey, Bud! Where can I get a slice of banana cream pie and a cup of coffee? Availability after 8 p.m. is a plus.

—@MaxwellSinclair on Twitter

The Tavern Bar & Grill, 2755 S. Hulen St., has it on the menu, as does corporate cousin Towne Grill, 9365 Rain Lily Trail.

(Or go earlier and buy a whole pie from Swiss Pastry Shop, 3936 W. Vickery Blvd., to take home.)

Dixie House, Neighborhood Grill serve dinner

Hey, Bud! Did you write yet about West Side Cafe not serving dinner?

—The West Side faithful

Fort Worth’s leading home-cooking cafe shook up diners last week by suspending night service for now.

New restaurant openings nearby left West Side, 7950 Camp Bowie Blvd. West, short on help.

For dinner, try Dixie House, 5401 S. Hulen St.; Old Neighborhood Grill, 1633 Park Place Ave.; or all-night Ol’ South Pancake House, 1509 S. University Drive.

In Google we trust — not

Hey, Bud! I looked up that place you wrote about and Google said it’s “permanently closed.”

—Trusting soul

Google and Yelp are not perfect.

Info is sent in by readers. Some are mistaken. Others are maliciously trying to hurt business. And some restaurants’ changing hours get confusing.

Always check.
