The award-winning Little Lilly Sushi restaurant will be closed two months or more after a kitchen fire Saturday, co-owner Ann Liu said.

A grease fire in the kitchen extended to the front dining area of the 10-year-old restaurant, 6100 Camp Bowie Blvd.

Smoke from the fire also filled a neighboring taco restaurant and retail store. Rusty Taco planned to reopen later Saturday, a manager said.

The damage was more extensive than in a 2017 oven fire at Little Lilly, Liu said. The restaurant closed then for a month.

Chef Danny Liu’s restaurant was recognized as one of the 10 best new restaurants in Texas in 2012 when it opened.
