Old Texas Brewing Co. to open in Fort Worth

Hey, Bud! Where is Old Texas Brewing opening?

—Message to @budkennedy on Instagram

A new brewpub will open by fall in the Village at Camp Bowie shopping center, 6333 Camp Bowie Blvd. Burleson-based Old Texas Brewing Co. will open its second location. It’s where Baker St. Pub closed years ago, in a huge space near Sunset Drive and a Sprouts grocery only a few blocks from popular Wild Acre Brewing.

Options for Mother’s Day: Towne, Mercury

Hey, Bud! Where’s left for Mother’s Day?

—Late planner

Towne Grill, 9365 Rain Lily Trail in Alliance Town Center, is the best bet. It’s from the same chefs as The Tavern and Pacific Table. Downtown, Mercury Chophouse still had good availability, and the Omni buffet had a few tables. Or try somewhere like Campisi’s Restaurant, 6150 Camp Bowie Blvd. The list is published online at dfw.com/eatsbeat and was in print last week.
