Here’s where to dine outside (!) on Christmas Day around Fort Worth
Mercury, Jellico’s, Azle & Burleson patios open
Hey, Bud! Where can we eat on a patio Christmas Day?
—Arthur, Fort Worth
Nobody figured we’d eat outdoors Christmas Day. But three are open: at Mercury Chophouse, 525 Taylor St.; at Jellico’s at the Westin Southlake, 1200 Texas 114 East; at On the Patio, 501 N. Stewart St., Azle; and at the Burleson location of Ol’ South Pancake House, 225 E. Renfro St. (The 97 West room in the Drover has a patio, but it’s booked. Woodshed Smokehouse will open at 6 p.m.)
No Luby’s this year
Hey, Bud! Is Luby’s open Christmas?
—Debbie, Mansfield
Luby’s is open until 5 p.m. Friday, but closed Christmas.
No Los Asaderos either. Try Amy’s
Hey, Bud! Is Los Asaderos open Christmas?
—Salsa fan
Not this year. Los Asaderos, 1535 N. Main St., home of the city’s hottest and best green chicken enchiladas, serves lunch until 3 p.m. Friday and will reopen Sunday at 11 a.m. (Amy’s next door will open Christmas, 7 a.m.-2 p.m., and serve pork pozole. Joe T. Garcia’s nearby will serve Christmas Eve dinner, then reopen Sunday.)
