Hey, Bud! Where can a reader find the absolute best pecan pie in Fort Worth?

Other foodies made some first-rate suggestions — Emporium Pies, Buttermilk Sky, Gus’ Fried Chicken, Black Rooster Bakery. To all those first-rate pies, I’d add the Carshon’s Deli pecan pie, served only on Mondays. (Tuesday is butterscotch meringue pie. Everybody knows about chocolate meringue Wednesdays and Saturdays.)
New restaurants ahead for WestBend
Hey, Bud! What did you say will replace Zoës Kitchen and East Hampton Sandwich in WestBend? I sure miss Zoës.

Sadly, the Zoës chain was bought out, and Cava replaced most locations. A Zoës is still open in Colleyville. Nothing official is signed yet for the WestBend space on South University Drive.
