Starbucks open in Fire Station #1

Hey, Bud! What’s up with the new Starbucks downtown?

—Drive-thru drinker

A new Starbucks pickup counter has opened during the day at 215 Commerce St. in the historic downtown Fire Station No. 1 building. It’s quicker for orders than the 131 W. Third St. store. (For lunch, there’s 203 Cafe upstairs.)

Thanksgiving night only

Hey, Bud! Is the Worthington doing a Thanksgiving lunch this year?

—@Zach_Thoms on Twitter

Toro Toro is serving its regular lunch menu but is serving only its holiday dinner that night. Cast Iron at the Omni has some lunch buffet space left, or check the list at star-telegram.com/eatsbeat. (The Drover’s 97 West is listed as open, but I haven’t seen a menu.)

Where to eat Christmas

Hey, Bud! Where can we go Christmas Day?

—Ready to book

The choices in Fort Worth are thin: Cast Iron, Del Frisco’s Grille, il Modo, the Ol’ South Pancake House and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I’ll list any late additions at star-telegram.com/eatsbeat.
