Don’t worry: Joe T. Garcia’s isn’t going anywhere. It’s just getting a new dishwasher

Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant, an 86-year Fort Worth tradition, will take three days off Monday through Wednesday to install new equipment, the owners announced.

Their family cafe next door, Esperanza’s Restaurant and Bakery, 2122 N. Main St., will be open its regular hours, 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., each day. A south side location, 1601 Park Place Ave., is open until 9 p.m. and also serves Joe T.’s combination dinner.

Joe T. Garcia’s, a 2,000-seat restaurant at 2201 N. Commerce St., needs to add a new dishwasher, co-owner Jesse Lancarte said.

The restaurant will reopen Wednesday at dinner if the work is finished early, he said.

Joe T.’s has missed few days other than holidays since it opened in 1935.
