Quiche, lobster and chocolate: Where to take Mom for Mother’s Day around Fort Worth
Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days in restaurants, and one of the toughest to find a reservation.
Here’s a once-over of restaurants offering specials May 9:
▪ Grace, 777 Main St., serves brunch only on Mother’s Day and will feature steak with eggs Benedict ($49), quiche Lorraine ($21), pork carnitas in chile de árbol ($30) and French toast with Texas berries ($18).
The full menu is also available, including Grace’s popular Maine scallops, steaks, snapper with etouffee or lobster-mushroom pasta.

▪ Ellerbe Fine Foods, 1501 W. Magnolia Ave., will open for a rare Sunday brunch and serve a $56 menu featuring braised brisket tartine, salmon or eggs-and-avocado, with strawberry-ricotta cake for dessert; 817-926-3663, ellerbefinefoods.com.
▪ Sky Creek Kitchen, 251 Texas 114 East, Southlake, will serve a $95 brunch featuring scallops, filet mignon, snapper paella or a lamb chop with banana pudding and strawberry-rhubarb pie; 682-477-4606, skycreekkitchen.com
▪ Lili’s Bistro, 1310 W. Magnolia Ave., will open and serve brunch items including crab Benedict ($18), a veggie frittata ($16) and more, plus the regular menu; 817-877-0700, lilisbistro.com.
▪ Wicked Butcher, 512 Main St., will serve a menu including shrimp Louie salad, Nutella French toast, shrimp-and-jalapeno-cheddar grits or Sriracha-honey fried chicken-and-waffles.

▪ The Capital Grille chain and corporate cousin Eddie V’s will serve both a dining-room brunch and a takeout special.
Capital Grille’s $165 takeout special for two ($295 for four) features roast tenderloin and lobster tails, salad, sides and chocolate espresso cake; 800 Main St., 817-348-9200, thecapitalgrille.com.

▪ B&B Butchers & Restaurant, 5212 Marathon Ave., will serve its regular brunch menu with steaks, pastas, burgers, seafood and breakfast dishes such as coconut French toast, apple-pecan waffle or “gorilla bread” (monkey bread with sausage and eggs); 817-737-5212, bbbutchers.com.
▪ NM Cafe, inside Neiman Marcus at 5200 Monahans Ave., will serve brunch items including a mandarin orange souffle with chicken salad ($21), a kale-Gruyere quiche ($18), crab salad ($27) or a chipotle-cheddar burger ($18), with strawberry shortcake ($8) for dessert; 817-989-4650, neimanmarcus.com.

▪ CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, 5188 Marathon Ave., is serving a $45 brunch featuring tenderloin, lobster-asparagus risotto, crabcake Benedict or lemon sole with tiramisu, Meyer lemon cake or cheesecake. There’s also an $80 takeout dinner for two with fewer choices; 817-737-9463, cruwinebar.com.
