One of Fort Worth’s old landmark Tex-Mex restaurants reopens, with some new help
Pulido’s returns, with help from Arlington
Hey, Bud! Did you know the old Pulido’s near University Drive has opened back up? Tex-Mex at its best.
—Pat, Fort Worth
The original Pulido’s is open at 2900 Pulido St., hidden off Interstate 30, where the late Dionicia and Pedro Pulido started out serving enchiladas and Pedro’s house recipe chili con carne. The staff now includes Ricardo “Lucas” Hernandez and Inez Moreno, longtime servers at an Arlington location that closed.
How to book a big table for Easter
Hey, Bud! Can’t wait to go out for Easter. But how do I find a table for a big family?
—Roland, Fort Worth
Easter is a tough reservation, because large families want to eat very early. The reservations website OpenTable.com can book a table for up to 20 on April 4 at the Del Frisco’s restaurants or smaller groups at Ruth’s Chris or Toro Toro. Also, Resy.com and Yelp.com book tables for up to 20, but with fewer choices.
The return of Saint-Émilion
Hey, Bud! I know about Paris 7th, but wasn’t the old Saint-Émilion going to reopen?
—Sherry, Fort Worth
The original Saint-Émilion bistro, 3617 W. Seventh St., is now open again as a small, simple bistro with three-course dinners for $50. The entrees include mussels, steak frites, lamb chops and coq au vin, with dessert an extra $10. (Paris 7th, 3324 W. Seventh St., is now the upscale French restaurant.)
