Where’s best for a patio Thanksgiving? Try dinner with a view of the Cowboys’ stadium
Thanksgiving dinner plans are coming into focus, either as takeout or outdoors.
For a patio turkey dinner, one of the best high-end choices might be at Cut & Bourbon, the Arlington restaurant inside the Live! by Loews hotel.
Cut & Bourbon’s sprawling, heated patio offers a view of AT&T Stadium. On Thanksgiving, it’ll be filling for the Dallas Cowboys’ game against Washington.
This is the second holiday season for the Loews, the most prominent hotel between Fort Worth and Dallas. And obviously this year is very different from 2019.
But Cut & Bourbon seems like one of the safer restaurants. It’s a short walk through the lobby to the host stand, and then out onto the patio.
There are at least three sanitizer stations along the way. And once you’re outside, the tables are safely far apart.
(Never sit within 6 feet of anyone outside your own household. Wear a mask when not taking a bite or drink.)
For Thanksgiving, Cut & Bourbon is offering dinner all day, beginning at 10 a.m. for early families and stretching to 8 p.m. for the after-game crowd.
When you choose a holiday restaurant or order takeout, read the menu carefully.
Cut & Bourbon is offering a choice of two entrees: a cider-brined roast turkey or pork osso bucco, each with sides and a mini-pumpkin pie ($76, children $38).
The deal is much more reasonable as a take-home heat-and-serve meal for six ($250) or 10 ($350), including pies and carrot cake. It’s available for pickup beginning at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
Order via Resy.com or at 682-277-4950.
If you want to try Cut & Bourbon another day, the weekend brunch menu features a brisket-and-eggs breakfast with sliced brisket and also brisket sausage, along with omelets, red-velvet waffles and fried-chicken sandwiches or chicken and waffles.
It opens at 7 a.m. daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and serves until 11 p.m. weekends; cutandbourbon.com.
▪ The only other high-end Arlington restaurant offering Thanksgiving dinner is Mercury Chophouse; 2221 E. Lamar Blvd.; 817-381-1157, mercurychophouse.com.
