This has been a weird year for restaurants, and that means holiday dinners will be weird, too.

Some restaurants don’t have skilled staff yet. Others still limit hours and service.

And depending on flu and COVID-19 cases, health orders and guidance might change.

We know family gatherings should be small. Those with older guests should stay home to avoid coronavirus or at the very least, dine outdoors or in a big, well-spaced dining room away from anyone else.

So plan holiday dinners now.

Right now, seven Fort Worth restaurants, eight in Southlake-Grapevine and three in Arlington are booking Thanksgiving lunch on the OpenTable.com website.

More may be open that day, including the less expensive family restaurants. (For example. sports grills often open on Cowboys game days but don’t serve turkey and dressing.)

But if you have a favorite Thanksgiving restaurant, start asking soon.

In Fort Worth, restaurants with patio tables offering Thanksgiving lunch include B&B Butchers, the Capital Grille, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and Del Frisco’s Grille

Others booking tables that day include Romano’s Macaroni Grille, the Silver Fox Steakhouse and Toro Toro Latin Steakhouse in the Worthington Renaissance.

In Southlake and Grapevine, restaurants listed as open that day include Brio, Buca di Beppo, Del Frisco’s Grille, il Calabrese, Moxie’s, Perry’ s Steakhouse and Truluck’s. Rainforest Cafe is open at night.

in Arlington, two restaurants near AT&T Stadium are listed as open: Mercury Chophouse and the Social House. In south Arlington, The Keg Steakhouse is open.

This list will change as restaurants make plans. Ask your favorite, and be watching star-telegram.com/eatsbeat.
