Shawarma restaurant reopens in Fort Worth along with remodeled (again!) Crockett Hall

The popular Shawarma Bar has reopened, bringing life back to the redesigned Crockett Hall food market.

“It looks a million times better,” said Henry Hashem of Shawarma Bar, the most popular restaurant in the food hall, 3000 Crockett St.

Shawarma’s Plano location never closed, but the Fort Worth location had to wait out the business slowdown and food hall remodeling.

The closing of Terra Mediterranean Grill nearby leaves Shawarma Bar as the primary Mediterranean restaurant in the West 7th area near the Cultural District.

Shawarma is in front along the Crockett side of the food hall, which also includes returnees Not Just Q barbecue, Aina Poke Co. and Val’s Cheesecakes.

New restaurants serve brick-oven pizzas, pot pies, grilled cheese sandwiches, coffees and salads.

“We’re going to see how it goes with the redesign,” Hashem said. “We just hope things work out.”

More coming soon on the new Crockett Hall restaurants. It’s open for lunch and dinner daily; 817-885-7331, facebook.com/FoodhallatCrockettRow
