DFW Restaurant Week’s dates are officially set for Aug. 31-Sept. 6, with most restaurants extending the annual summer dining promotion through Sept. 27.

Reservations start Aug. 4 for $39 and $49 three-course fine-dining takeout or dine-in deals, with $4 or $5 of each dinner in Tarrant County donated to a Fort Worth children’s agency.

This is the 24th year for the annual dining discounts at more than 100 restaurants across the Dallas and Fort Worth-Arlington area.

(Several “restaurant week” promotions have copied it, but DFW Restaurant Week remains the most popular and most successful.)

For 23 of its 24 years, the Lena Pope agency has benefited from the August dinner deals in Tarrant County. Diners in Dallas County support that city’s food bank.

Once again, DFW Restaurant Week will also include $19 two-course lunches with $2 going to charity.

Some restaurants will offer a “preview” weekend Aug. 28-30.

The event is presented by Cadillac dealers and promoted by KRLD/1080 AM and local Radio.com stations affiliated with Philadelphia-based Entercom. The Star-Telegram is among other sponsors.
