The Mercury Chophouse prime steakhouses have bought Texas Blue in Old Town Keller and will reopen it this fall as Keller Chophouse, Texas Bleu announced on Friday.

Texas Bleu will close Saturday, July 11, according to the announcement from part-owner Cary Moon, a Fort Worth city councilman.

It’s the third Mercury location, joining locations in the Tower in downtown Fort Worth and in the Brookhollow Two office tower in Arlington.

The Keller Chophouse will have basically the same menu as the Mercury downtown, owner Zack Moutaouakil said.

Moutaouakil bought the Chophouse in 2008 from the founder and opened the Arlington location in 2017, replacing a French restaurant in a landmark location overlooking Six Flags Over Texas and sports parks.

Texas Bleu opened in 2015 with a series of prominent local chefs, including Stefon Rishel, now of Wishbone & Flynt.

The restaurant replaced an old Blinds Brothers building, boosting development in Old Town Keller.

Mercury will open as soon as August, according to Moon’s announcement.
