A new Enchiladas Olé location is on the way, and this one’s in a Fort Worth suburb

Enchiladas Olé, voted one of Texas’ 10 best Tex-Mex restaurants by readers of one publication, will open its first suburban location in North Richland Hills, owner Mary Patino Perez said Tuesday.

The Tex-Mex restaurant known for Perez’s gourmet enchilada sauces will replace a chicken tenders restaurant at 9005 North Tarrant Parkway, near Precinct Line Road alongside chain drive-thrus.

Enchiladas Olé is just settling into its current location, 2418 Forest Park Blvd. near TCU.

“This is a neighborhood location — our new location is next to fast food,” she said Tuesday.

Chick-fil-A and Whataburger are nearby. The location is off Davis Boulevard.

“We’re bringing a local restaurant,” she said.

Enchiladas Olé began eight years ago as Perez’s sauce brand. She originated gourmet sauces sold in Central Market and eventually developed a restaurant around her enchiladas.

Olé was voted one of Texas’ 10 best Tex-Mex restaurants by readers of USA Today, a national daily newspaper.

A menu of “Olé specialties” includes fajita enchiladas, tacos, tostadas and a “keto” avocado plate.

The enchilada plates ($12 lunch, $13-$16 dinner) feature a choice of brisket, cheese or chicken covered in Perez’s award-winning ancho-pepper chili sauce, Hatch green chile sauce, mole sauce, verde or sour cream sauces.

There’s also a veggie enchilada platter ($12) with squash-zucchini enchiladas.

The rest of the menu includes queso, guacamole, burritos, quesadillas and the usual options.

The current Enchiladas Olé is open for lunch and dinner weekdays and Saturdays, lunch Sundays; 817-984-1360, enchiladasole.com.
