That property has changed hands. New owner. Robert Patterson has reopened it and has indicated to City Hall that he plans to change the name.. (The phone is 817-617-2349, but the social media hadn’t been updated at midweek.) All the Jambo’s have different owners. Damian Placide, son of legendary New Iberia, La., chef Brenda Placide, has made a big move. He’s opened a new, larger cafe at 2001 SE Green Oaks Blvd. He’s open daily except Monday now with different menus every day, including fried chicken, pork chops, gumbo, etouffee and his personal specials like smoked meatloaf (Thursdays).
