Swiss Pastry Shop, 3936 W. Vickery Blvd., is open regular hours Tuesday through Saturday for take-out and baking all its breads and rolls, plus serving family packs such as a Hatch green chile meatloaf and plenty of its signature Black Forest cake. Touchy subject. I like El Gabacho Tex-Mex Grill, 2408 W. Abram St.. The foodies like Papaya Mexican Grill, 100 W. Pioneer Parkway. Paula’s at 1224 W. Arkansas Lane is the spiritual descendant of Casa Jose, once the best. El Ranchito, 3517 S. Cooper St., is great at its Dallas location. Candlelite Inn, 1202 E. Division St., is the old-school favorite for its chopped-escabeche green salsa.
Margaritas to go? Yes or no?
Hey, Bud! Can restaurants serve margaritas to go or not? One restaurant is doing it, but the place across the street won’t.

Gov. Greg Abbott said they can in his announcement. But the formal orders from state liquor officials say restaurants can only sell drinks in their original package — not mixing them. Some restaurants are playing it safe. Others are hoping they won’t get in trouble.
