Sunday is National Pizza Day — as if every day isn’t Pizza Day.

Here’s a look at some new local pizza restaurants and specials:

Zoli’s Pizza is the most heralded new pizza restaurant, winning the Caputo Cup pizza contest in Las Vegas and the title of “America’s best pan pizza.”

The winner was the “dope” hot soppressata salami pizza with ricotta and a spicy marmalade.

But there’s almost no way to go wrong at this new restaurant from owner Jay Jerrier, owner of Cane Rosso a past national independent pizzeria of the year.

For Pizza Day, the cheese pizza will be on special for $10 and the double-pepperoni-jalapeno-pesto pizza will be $12, round or square.

The frantic opening crowds have thinned out a little, so go by Zoli’s Sunday or any day for a pizza, spaghetti, a burger or the “west side” jalapeno-pepperoni waffle cheese fries;

Zoli’s is open for lunch (there’s a $13 weekday pizza-and-salad combo) and dinner daily; Hulen Street at Houghton Avenue, 817-402-0050, zolispizza.com/fort-worth.

Corporate cousin Cane Rosso will offer a pizza Margherita for $7 or a sausage of hot soppressata pizza for $9, along with its usual brunch menu and $2 mimoas.

Cane Rosso is open fo lunch and dinner daily at 815 W. Magnolia Ave., 817-922-9222, canerosso.com

An Arlington Cane Rosso will open in spring.

Dallas-based ZaLat Pizza, a late-night favorite appealing to a younger crowd, is open at 843 Foch St. in the Foch Street Warehouses.

ZaLat’s most colorful pizza is the “Pho Shizzle,” a chicken-red pepper pizza with Sriracha.

There’s no dining room, only a takeout counter; 817-780-0420, zalatpizza.com.

The new Gemelle Detroit-style pizza will offer any variety Sunday for $14.; 4400 White Settlement Road, 817-732-9535, gemelleftw.com.

Dallas-based favorie Campisi’s will throw in a free medium pizza (usually $11.50) with any large ordered online only. So you get two huge Campisi’s rectangular pizzas for as little as $25,

(Campisi’s has one of the oldest and best delivery networks.)

Canada-based Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar now serves heart-shaped pizzas, if that’s what you want for Valentine’s. There’s one in Arlington at 2501 E. Lamar Blvd.

Chain restaurants Blaze Pizza, BJ’s Brewhouse ($10 off $40), Cici’s (three large for $15), Pie Five ($10 large) and Uno all offer specials, along with the usual home-delivery chains like Domino’s, Papa John’s and Pizza Hut.

(And yes, there’s also a “Pi Day” March 14.)
