Missing your favorite Mediterranean buffet? Here are 3 to pick from—2 serving dinner
Hey, Bud! Is that new Mediterranean buffet open yet? Wasn’t there one in River Oaks, too? And where else? We sure miss Terra.
—Kathryn, Fort Worth
Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet just started remodeling at 6357 Camp Bowie Blvd., but two other buffets aren’t far away. Byblo’s Mediterranean, 1406 N. Main St., owned by the Hedary family, serves a buffet at lunch every day including weekends, and also Thursday night. Chadra Mezza, 1622 Park Place Ave., serves a buffet at lunch weekdays and Saturdays, plus a pizza buffet at dinner Wednesdays and a full buffet at dinner Fridays and Saturdays. The new find is NISH! Mediterranean Grill, 4913 Ohio Garden Road at River Oaks Boulevard, serving a buffet weekdays 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Hey, Bud! Do you have any information on Ten50 BBQ or the Salt Lick in Grapevine?
—Mark and Josh, Grapevine
Neither restaurant has given up. Ten50 BBQ’s plans at 1333 William D. Tate Ave. have been on hold since the death of co-owner John T. Evans. The Austin-based Salt Lick BBQ still owns land in Grapevine near Kubota but has not announced any update.
Hey, Bud! I heard something about a butcher shop opening on Camp Bowie?
—Some guy whose name I lost
The Meat Board, 6314 Camp Bowie Blvd., is a custom butcher shop. A planned fall opening has stretched into winter.
