Eats Beat

Where to for Tex-Mex? A favorite closes, but a new place opens at Texas Live!

Hey Bud! Posados was our go-to for Tex-Mex. We are still on the hunt for a Tex-Mex place. Mariano’s is our favorite so far but — traffic.

Hurst-Euless-Bedford has one of the oldest and most reliable little family-owned Tex-Mex restaurants: Miguelito’s, 209 W. Bedford-Euless Road. I like the little Lupe’s on Airport Freeway, and there’s always the Lubbock-based Abuelo’s chain. (Posados, a chain based in Tyler, remains open in Fossil Creek.)

Hey, Bud! Have you heard anything about a new Tex-Mex restaurant at Texas Live! in Arlington? We went but there was just burgers, barbecue, tacos and pizza.

That’s Rangers Republic. The dance club in Texas Live! now has a new alter ego as the center’s Tex-Mex restaurant, serving enmoladas (enchiladas in mole sauce), fajitas and tacos. It’s at 1650 E. Randol Mill Road.
