—The same guy as last time
OK, I know everybody in Fort Worth is sort of fired up about a new chicken-salad restaurant. But you know there are already locations 20 miles away in north Fort Worth, Burleson or Hurst, right? Watch for the Ridglea location by Christmas at 6124 Camp Bowie Blvd., near La Madeleine and next door to the new Buttermilk Sky Pie opening next week at 6120 Camp Bowie Blvd.

Hey, Bud! I want to order a fried turkey. Any ideas?
—Vicki, Fort Worth
The sure bet is to order from Bonnell’s, serving a full $300 dinner to go (order by Nov. 20). It’s $300 for a deep-fried or Creole-smoked turkey, plus two soups (butternut squash, gumbo or roasted tomato-jalapeno) and two choices from a menu of eight sides including Southwestern cornbread stuffing, green-chile cheese grits, jalapeno-creamed spinach and more. In Dallas, Big Al’s Smokehouse is selling fried turkeys for $65-$75 and also serves them Thursdays as a menu item.
A Thanksgiving Day drive for turkey dinner
Hey, Bud! What’s someplace in a small town for Thanksgiving?

On Possum Kingdom Lake, the new Lush Resort will serve a $30 dinner. Or try Ranchman’s Cafe in Ponder, Jake & Dorothy’s in Stephenville or the Koffee Kup Family Restaurant in Hico.
