Why not brunch on Monday? Here’s where to find it
If brunch is great two days a week, why not three?
Social House is the latest restaurant to offer Monday brunch, in case you didn’t get enough over the weekend.
The Crockett Row shops are quiet at lunchtime. And the Monday crowd drags in very slowly, particularly after a Sunday night Cowboys game.
So Social House added a third day to its popular weekend brunch. On Mondays, pick from steak-and-eggs Benedict, a crab cake and eggs Benedict, a bacon-and-eggs platter, breakfast tacos or a Belgian waffle for $10.95-$15.95.
It’s called a “service industry brunch,” a pitch to restaurant and bar workers who are on duty weekends.
Ignore that. It’s for everybody.
Monday brunch makes sense considering there are already five Monday holidays every year, including this weekend (Columbus Day).
Social House is really busy at weekend brunch — frankly, busier than at weekday lunch. So the Monday brunch may draw back more regulars.
Owners Shawn Rao and Jonathan Serrano of Dallas also own nearby America Gardens.
