Where’s the best BLT? It can be anywhere with bacon

Hey, Bud! Where’s the best BLT?

The BLT is vastly underrated. You can order one almost anywhere — diners, hamburger stands, fast-food stands — even if it’s not on the menu. My all-time favorite is at Old Neighborhood Grill, 1633 Park Place in Park Place Village. But the popular favorite is probably on the fresh breads at Swiss Pastry Shop, 3936 W. Vickery Blvd. (Even the 90-year-old Paris Coffee Shop has a good BLT on house-baked eight-grain bread.) Friends swear by Kincaid’s BLT, or the Whataburger version on a wheat bun.

Hey, Bud! Did I miss the news about Revolver Taco? It looks closed.

Lynn, Fort Worth

Revolver Taco Lounge, celebrated by critics for its Michoacan-style cooking but never quite a hit with Fort Worth customers (partly due to eccentric service), moved to Dallas at 2701 Main St. in Deep Ellum. It has already been named one of Dallas’ best new restaurants. (Go on a Tuesday for $2 pastor tacos and $5 margs.)
