Shake things up with Lucile’s, Hudson House and more for National Martini Day

Whether you like a martini dry, dirty, stirred, shaken, on the rocks or with a twist, the cocktail’s birthday is on Friday. National Martini Day takes place every year on June 19.

While there are not dedicated martini day deals, many Fort Worth restaurants feature the cocktail on happy hour menus. Here’s where you can find a cheap martini on Friday.

Hudson House claims the “world’s coldest martinis.” They serve four different martinis – classic (with option to make it dirty), bleu & gold with blue cheese-salted rim and blue cheese olives, espresso and the stone fruit with peach and apricot liquors. While they will not have a dedicated National Martini Day special, the restaurant’s happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. with half-priced martinis (making them $8 a pop).

Lucile’s has been voted for Fort Worth’s “best martinis” with 12 flavor variations. Of course, they serve the classic, cosmopolitan and lemon drop but also a firecracker with jalapeno infused vodka, olive juice and jalapeno olives. All martinis are no more than $12.

Walloon’s serves a freezer martini out of a historic Magnolia Avenue bank building. There are two freezer martini variations – one with vodka, served dirty and another with gin and a lemon twist. Join them on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. for $8 dirty martinis during happy hour.

Little Red Wasp isn’t known for its martinis but offers some fun twists on the classic cocktail. Their peach martini has a touch of elderflower liquor and strawberry popping boba. The lemon drop is dressed up with strawberry and guava syrups. Grab a $6 cosmopolitan on happy hour, which is 4 to 6 p.m. daily.

Dos Mares serves mini martinis only during their daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. They are $7 each or $20 for a flight of three. They offer the classic, dirty, espresso, cosmopolitan and also a Mexican martini (made with tequila) and a house pomegranate.
