Piattello Italian Kitchen is moving its fresh pastas elsewhere

Piattello will have a new landscape for patio pasta-eating and wine-sipping.

Arlington native and Fort Worth restaurateur Chef Marcus Paslay opened Piattello nearly 10 years ago in the Waterside Shopping Center. The concept was ranked in Texas Monthly’s best new restaurants in Texas within its first year. The restaurant is known for its fresh pastas with light sauces in a rustic but trendy dining room.

The restaurant announced over email Wednesday, June 3 it will move two miles down the road to The Shops at Clearfork.

The new iteration will be about the same size, with a patio, and a few new menu additions. They also plan to expand hours daily to both lunch and dinner.

Piattello will be the first and only Fort Worth owned-and-operated restaurant in the shopping center. B&B Butchers originated from Houston, Mesero is from Dallas and Fixe Southern House came from Austin.

Piattello’s last days at Waterside Shopping Center

“The hope is that there will only be about a couple of days lag time between closure and the new opening,” a spokesperson for Piattello told the Star-Telegram.

While there is not a set last day for Piattello in Waterside, what we do know is that Piattello in Clearfork has a target opening for November.

Piattello menu changes

Paslay said in a news release that the restaurant’s menu will stay the same — for the most part.

“All of the favorites are staying,” said Paslay.

Piattello’s housemade sourdough and ricotta is a popular starter. Their thin crust pizzas stay simple, with options like margherita, sausage or pepperoni. But where the restaurant really shines is with its fresh pastas. Certain menu items rotate depending on the season.

New menu items will be revealed closer to the fall opening date.

Where is Piattello moving?

Piattello in Clearfork will be opening at 5137 Marathon Ave. in The Offices at Clearfork. In addition to 160 indoor seats, another 40 seats will be on the patio.

This will be a three-story, 70,000 square foot mixed-use office space with 22,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. Wells Fargo is set to anchor the top two floors.
