Another LongHorn Steakhouse restaurant is coming to suburbs south of Fort Worth

North Texas will soon have another LongHorn Steakhouse, perhaps by the end of this year.

The steakhouse chain is planning a $4 million restaurant in Mansfield, adding to the growing list of places to eat along a busy stretch of U.S. 287.

State filings show the restaurant will be built at 610 N. US 287, just north of East Broad Street.

The corridor has been adding new dining and retail options in recent years as the population around Mansfield is booming with major developments in the pipeline, including Goodland, a project that will add roughly 10,000 homes south of the city.

Construction is set to begin in April on the 5,780-square-foot restaurant.

Work is scheduled to wrap by Dec. 14, which means Mansfield diners may be able to grab a steak dinner by late 2026 or early 2027 if the timeline stays on track.

What will the menu look like at the new restaurant?

LongHorn is known for its ribeye, sirloin, and tenderloin cuts, but the chain also serves seafood plates, chicken dishes, burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

The brand markets itself as a family friendly steakhouse with mid-range prices.

While menus vary by location, guests can usually expect seasoned steaks, baked potatoes, and classic sides.

How big is LongHorn Steakhouse in the DFW area?

LongHorn opened in 1981 in Georgia and has expanded to nearly 600 locations across the United States.

The Mansfield project will be the seventh LongHorn restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

The chain’s steady expansion suggests the new location will follow the same casual, family friendly format seen in its other restaurants across North Texas.
