Tex-Mex restaurant Lupe Tortilla to open soon in Southlake after $1M renovation

A Houston-based Tex-Mex restaurant is expected to open in Southlake this summer

Lupe Tortilla is moving into the closed Buca di Bepo Italian Restaurant location at 2701 E. Texas 114.

The first Lupe Tortilla opened in 1983 serving fresh tortillas, tacos, fajitas, puffy tacos and a variety of margaritas. Customers can also order some higher-end menu items like grilled mahi-mahi, lobster tacos, steak asada and a Lupe Fillet.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the $1 million renovation on the 8,439-square-foot space is expected to begin in April and wrap up in July.

Southlake will join other Lupe Tortillas that have opened in the DFW area since 2019, in Allen, Irving, Addison and the Alliance neighborhood of Fort Worth.
