What readers recommend about My Lan Vietnamese Restaurant in Haltom City: “We lived in Thailand and often went to Vietnam. The food was wonderful, but we were always comparing it to My Lan’s egg rolls. Their fried egg rolls are the best anywhere. Vermicelli bowl with pork, Yang Chow fried rice, Chow Fun with wide noodles.”

▪ What else to know: This no-frills family restaurant opened in 1996, and its many reviews online include mentions of those delicious egg rolls. One user on Yelp suggests a “pro tip” of wrapping them in the lettuce they come with and dipping them in fish sauce. In 2019, the owners opened a second location in Colleyville called My Lan Vietnamese Kitchen with a more condensed menu “using the same recipes that my mother passed on to me,” co-owner Lan Trinh says.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except Wednesdays.
