Roaches, voluntary restaurant closure in Tarrant County health inspections
Signs of rodents and roaches were found and one restaurant voluntarily closed in the latest round of Tarrant County restaurant inspections, according to the inspection reports.
The reports compiled by the Star-Telegram contain health violations from May 4-17 and 292 inspections.
Tarrant County’s restaurant inspections function on a 100-point system: 100 points is considered a perfect score and 70 points is considered to be extremely poor.
Wings Over Fort Worth, at 520 Alta Mere Drive in White Settlement, had a score of 90. The restaurant voluntarily closed to fix issues with its coolers and later reopened, according to a Tarrant County Public Health spokesperson.
Good Buy Food Mart, at 300 W. Pipeline Road in Hurst, was noted to have issues with rodents or rodent droppings, according to the report. The business had an overall score of 95.
Herbs Indian Cuisine, at 660 Grapevine Highway in Hurst, was noted to have issues with roaches, according to the report. The eatery had an overall score of 86.
Five restaurants and businesses had scores below 80 in this round of inspections:
- Southlake Foodmart, at 2210 W. Southlake Blvd. in Southlake, had a score of 71
- Moe’s Country Kitchen, at 316 W. Main St. in Azle, had a score of 73
- Desi Chulha, at 1803 Airport Freeway in Bedford, had a score of 74
- Pandan Thai Kitchen, at 448 E. Main St. in Crowley, had a score of 77
- Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood, at 816 S. Crowley Road in Crowley, had a score of 79
