2 restaurants fail, 2 others closed in latest Arlington health inspections

Two restaurants failed and two other restaurants closed in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data.

There were 147 inspections of businesses that serve food from Oct. 29 to Nov. 11.

Arlington inspections are based on a 100-point system. A 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. The data does not include details of the violations.

Two restaurants were closed but were reopened:

  • Mumin Pride Foods at 6401 New York Avenue, 0 and 87 in second inspection
  • First ToFu and Fast Food at 2505 East Arkansas Lane, 75

This is the second time First ToFu and Fast Food was closed this year. It was closed twice in December 2022.

Two restaurants failed:

  • Skillet ‘N’ Grill at 1801 West Division Street, 60
  • El Piquin Mexican Restaurant at 1524 New York Avenue, 65

Three other places to eat received scores of 75 or less:

  • Hilton Garden Inn at 2190 East Lamar Boulevard, 73
  • Oh! Donut at 1527 New York Avenue, 74
  • Beirut Rock at 1201 South Cooper Street, 74

  • Nanglo Restaurant at 3980 North Collins Street, 89

  • Maria Cuca’s Mexican Cuisine at 3970 North Collins Street, 91

  • La Michoacana Meat Market at 2230 South Cooper Street

  • Lakeside Beverage at 5815 West Arkansas Lane

  • Pho 999 at 1818 East Pioneer Parkway

  • Cold Stone at 3900 Arlington Highlands Boulevard

  • Tu Taco Restaurant at 309 East Randol Mill Road

  • Hilton Garden Inn at 2190 East Lamar Boulevard, 73

  • Oh! Donut at 1527 New York Avenue, 74

  • Beirut Rock at 1201 South Cooper Street, 74

  • Pho 95 at 2525 East Arkansas Lane, 77

  • Rockfish Seafood Grill at 3785 South Cooper Street, 87

  • Kenner’s Kolache Bakery at 2812 South Cooper Street, 95
