Two restaurants closed, several had follow-ups in latest Arlington health inspections

Two restaurants were closed and several restaurants had follow-up inspections in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data.

There were 148 inspections from Sept. 17 to Sept. 30

Arlington inspections are based on a 100-point scale. A score of 100 is perfect and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

Cane Rosso at 200 North East Street received a 72 and was closed on Sept. 25, but reopened the next day after a follow-up inspection. Little Caesars at 1110 South Bowen Road received a 90 and was closed on Sept. 19, but was also able to reopen the same day in a follow-up.

Scooters at 4750 Little Road was the second restaurant to receive a score less than 75. Re-inspections are required for restaurants that score 75 or less.

No restaurants received failing scores.

In addition to Cane Rosso and Little Caesars, 15 places that serve food had follow-up inspections:

  • Golden Chinese BBQ at 1818 East Pioneer Parkway, 80

  • Rooster Taqueria at 2601 East Lamar Boulevard, 85

  • Dairy Queen at 508 West Randol Mill Road, 86

  • Hai Au Restaurant (Quan) at 2202 New York Avenue, 91

  • Urban Air Arlington at 1303 North Collins Street, 79

  • El Pollo Regio at 2618 South Cooper Street

  • Beirut Grill at 2410 West Abram Street

  • Cheddars Scratch Kitchen at 4830 Little Road

  • Hu Tieu My Tho at 1818 East Pioneer Parkway

  • Little Elementary School at 3721 Little Road, 98

  • Braum’s Ice Cream at 4300 Little Road

  • Golden Chick at 1800 South Cooper Street

  • Rubi Restaurant at 941 West Pioneer Parkway

  • Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 1108 North Collins Street

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for Sept. 17th - Sept. 30th, 2023. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
