Restaurant with history of bad scores fails, closed in latest Arlington health inspections
A restaurant with a history of closures failed and was closed in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data.
There were 104 inspections in Arlington from March 26 to April 1.
Arlington health inspections are based on a 100-point system, where a score of 100 is perfect and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Arlington inspection reports don’t list details of the violations.
First ToFu and Fast Food at 2505 E. Arkansas Lane Suite 111 failed with a score of 65 on March 7. The restaurant was closed in a follow-up inspection on Tuesday. The restaurant’s most recent closure marks the third time it has been closed in the past four months. It was closed on Dec. 3 and Dec. 6 and was reopened on Dec. 8.
Three restaurants scored 75 or less, including First ToFu and Fast Food:
- Hiep Thai Arlington at 2430 E. Pioneer Parkway, 72
- Carniceria El Paya at 1514 E. Abram St., 75
Five restaurants had follow-up inspections including Hiep Thai Arlington and Carniceria El Paya:
- Don Wang Chinese Food Express at 607 W. Park Row Drive, 82
- The Hide A Way Club at 3010 E. Abram St., 86
- Taqueria “La Rompe Dietas” at 1521 W. Arkansas Lane, 88
