1 Fort Worth restaurant closed for serious health violations; bugs found at 2 others

One Fort Worth restaurant was closed for serious health violations during the Jan. 15-21 inspections, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Munchies-To-Go, located at 4708 E. Rosedale St., was required to close pending correction of the violations. Inspectors found mice droppings throughout the establishment and some foods were not stored at a safe temperature.

Pho Little Saigon, located at 1712 Mall Circle, received 36 demerits on Jan. 19, the most given out of this round of 69 inspections. Violations included insects on the food preparation table and food stored at unsafe temperatures.

Restaurants that receive more than 30 demerits are required to immediately fix critical violations and start corrective procedures on the other violations within 48 hours.

CS Cajun Seafood House, located at 9116 Camp Bowie West Blvd., received 30 demerits, and Taqueria El Arquito, located at 3621 Sycamore School Road, received 29.

Yolk, at 305 Main St., scored 23 demerits, and the inspector saw a cockroach in cold holding below the flat top equipment.

Dickey’s Barbecue at 5412 Blue Mound Road scored a 23 and requires a follow-up inspection. One of the handwashing sinks did not have hot water or soap, food wasn’t stored at a safe temperature and the walk-in freezer door didn’t close correctly.

Nopalitos Taqueria at 5301 E. Lancaster Ave. was the only establishment to receive a perfect score of zero demerits.
