A Tarrant County restaurant scores high demerits; no closures in recent inspections

Of 188 recent health inspections, only one Tarrant County restaurant received over 29 demerits, according to data from Tarrant County Public Health. Restaurants receiving more than 29 demerits require a follow-up inspection.

No restaurant was closed in the health inspections from Jan. 8 to Jan. 14.

TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 29, a follow-up inspection is required.

Love Donuts, at 8600 West I-30 in White Settlement, received a score of 30 for improperly washed dishes due to a lack of sanitizer, buildup of food debris on machines, no certified food manager on duty, and no food handler certifications, among other violations.

The restaurant received a score of 16 in a follow-up inspection.

Caribou at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport was issued a repeat violation for not having a certified food manager assigned to work at the location.
