Two Arlington restaurants closed in latest round of health inspections

Two Arlington restaurants were temporarily closed in the latest round of Arlington health inspections, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

The city inspected 113 restaurants from Dec. 11 to Dec. 31, closing Cafe Thanh Van for one day on Dec. 14 and De La Fuente Tacos de Birria from Dec. 21 to Dec. 31.

A city spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for more information on what led to the closures. Cafe Thanh Van received a score of zero and De la Fuente Tacos de Birria was scored at 72.

In Arlington restaurant inspections, 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

Three other restaurants received low scores:

  • Burger Street on Office Park Drive, 77
  • Song Huong Restaurant, 78
  • Cafe Huong Dong, 78
  • Chicken Express on US 287, 79

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for Dec. 11th - Dec. 31st, 2022. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less.
